Genmega and Nautilus Hyosung build most of the ATMs in US convenience stores, bars, gas stations, and small shops. Both companies run their US headquarters in the Dallas area, design machines for independent operators, and are the two brands ATMTrader sells.

Who are the main ATM manufacturers for independent operators?
Genmega and Hyosung. Independent ATM deployers, the operators who place machines in stores and bars they don't own, buy these two brands more than any other.
Both companies design for retail first. You get a compact cabinet, a lower purchase price, and parts you can swap yourself without calling a field technician. Compare both brands side by side in our ATM machines collection.
Who makes Genmega ATMs?
Genmega started in South Korea as a component supplier to the Korean ATM and kiosk industry and entered the US market as a full ATM manufacturer in 2007. The company runs its US headquarters, distribution, and engineering support from Dallas, Texas, and keeps R&D and manufacturing in Seoul.
Operators buy Genmega for its prices and shared parts. Genmega puts the same vault and dispenser hardware in the G2500, Onyx, and Nova, so one set of spares covers a mixed fleet.
Popular Genmega models at ATMTrader:
- G2500. The everyday retail unit. It ships with an 8-inch screen, takes an optional 10.2-inch touchscreen, and supports up to four 2,000-note cassettes for busy sites.
- Onyx. A slimmer cabinet with a 10.2-inch wide display, a good match for upscale retail and gas stations.
- Onyx-W. Mounts on a wall or sits on a counter. It has a 10.1-inch screen and a 1,000-note cassette, which suits bars short on floor space.
- Nova. Its 17-inch touchscreen plays video ads during transactions, so you skip the separate digital topper.
- GT3000. A compact through-the-wall unit in a weather-resistant enclosure for kiosks and exterior walls.

Who makes Nautilus Hyosung ATMs?
Hyosung TNS, the ATM and banking technology arm of South Korea's Hyosung group, builds Hyosung ATMs. Its North American subsidiary, Hyosung Americas, operates from Irving, Texas, and has sold retail ATMs in the US since 1998. Most operators still say "Nautilus Hyosung," the name the company used for most of those years.
Hyosung claims the largest share of US ATMs and says it grew to more than 70 percent of the retail market it helped start in the late 1990s. Those are company figures. They line up with what we see in the field, where Hyosung machines fill a large share of retail locations.
Hyosung shares components across its retail line. Halo II parts fit other Hyosung retail models, which protects your spare-parts stock as your fleet grows.
Popular Hyosung models at ATMTrader:
- Halo II. A compact retail ATM with a 10.1-inch screen and color LED lighting around the keypad. It fits a corner store or a high-end retail counter. View the Halo II
- 2800T. A through-the-wall ATM with a 12.1-inch display and room for up to three removable cassettes, built for busy walk-up locations.

Why do Genmega and Hyosung lead the retail ATM market?
We sell, ship, and repair these machines every week. Four reasons keep operators coming back to them:
- Retail-first design. Bank ATMs carry deposit modules, heavy safes, and branch software. Genmega and Hyosung leave those out of their retail units, so your money goes into the parts that earn surcharge revenue.
- Lower cost per machine. A new retail unit from either brand costs a fraction of a bank-grade machine. You earn it back faster from a single location.
- Parts on the shelf. So many units run in the field that distributors stock cassettes, dispensers, printers, keypads, and boards for both brands. Expect a few days of downtime when a part fails.
- Techs and processors know them. Most ATM technicians have serviced both brands, and US processors support both. You can find someone to install, program, or fix your machine in most markets.
Are bank ATMs made by the same companies?
Hyosung builds bank-grade ATMs and cash recyclers for financial institutions in addition to its retail line. Genmega focuses on retail ATMs and kiosks.
Banks and credit unions buy larger machines that accept deposits and recycle cash, often under multi-year service contracts. A business owner or route operator has no use for that hardware, and its price would wipe out the return on a single location.
Genmega or Hyosung, which one fits your business?
Your location and your current fleet decide most of it.
- Pick Genmega for the lowest entry price, wall-mount and countertop options, or a large ad screen on the Nova.
- Pick Hyosung for its long field record, a match with Hyosung machines you already own, or more cassette capacity in a through-the-wall unit (2800T).
- Stick with one brand across your fleet when you can. You stock one set of spares and learn one menu system.

Can you buy an ATM directly from the manufacturer?
Individual operators buy through dealers. Genmega and Hyosung sell retail ATMs through authorized distributors and dealers, who handle stock, shipping, warranty claims, and setup support.
A dealer also helps you pick a model for your location, programs the machine before it ships, keeps parts on hand, and gives you a repair path after the sale.
Where can you buy Genmega and Hyosung ATMs?
ATMTrader sells new Genmega and Nautilus Hyosung ATMs and ships them across the US. We stock replacement parts for both brands and repair cassettes, dispensers, and printers through our mail-in Repair Center, so you can buy and maintain your machine in one place.
We also set up transaction processing on request through our ATM processing program.
